Bullied users can report multiple tweets
It's no secret that Twitter has a troll problem. The anonymous nature of the fast and dirty social media platform makes it too easy for people to bully or attack other users with little consequences.
In an another attempt to minimise the damage, Twitter has upgraded its reporting process making it possible for users being abused to attach multiple tweets to a report.
Twitter says the update will help the platform deal with complaints faster.
"This update makes it easier for you to provide us with more information about the extent of abuse and reduces the time it takes to do so. That added context often helps us investigate issues and get them resolved faster," Safety Engineer Hao Tang posted on Twitter's blog.
"Safety continues to be a top priority at Twitter. We have more improvements coming that will give you even more control over your experience and look forward to sharing those updates soon."
The announcement on Twitter was met with a lot of cynicism from users who claim the platform does not take action, or that trolls simply created new accounts to bypass any penalties.
The new reporting feature is currently being rolled out to mobile phone apps across the world.
